Who this is with
This policy is from Deepansh Khurana, an individual based in India (“I”, “me”). Dimwit Labs is only the label I publish work under. It isn’t a company and isn’t a party to anything here. It covers every paid Dimwit product. If a product’s own terms are more generous to you on any point, those apply instead.
Cancelling
You can cancel a paid plan any time, from your account settings in the product, or by emailing chief@dimwit.me from the email on your account.
- There are no cancellation fees, and no notice period.
- Your plan stops renewing straight away, and you won’t be charged again.
- You keep everything you’ve paid for until the end of the current billing period.
- Before or after you cancel, you can export your data and take it with you.
Refunds
You get a full refund if:
- You change your mind: You ask within 14 days of your first payment for a plan. No reason needed.
- I charged you wrongly: A duplicate charge, the wrong amount, or a charge after you cancelled. There’s no time limit on these.
- I shut a service down: I’ll give you at least 60 days’ notice and refund any time you’ve paid for but won’t get.
Outside those cases, I don’t refund part periods, unless the law requires it. Cancelling simply stops the next renewal.
How to ask for one
Email chief@dimwit.me, or the product’s own support address, with the email on your account and the date and amount of the payment. You don’t need to fill in a form.
- I’ll acknowledge your request within 48 hours.
- I’ll decide within 7 working days, and tell you why if the answer is no.
- Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 7 working days of approval.
- Your bank or card issuer may take another 5 to 10 working days to show it.
Refunds are made in the currency you paid in, for the full amount you paid, including any tax charged on it.
Free software, sponsorships and donations
The open-source projects are free, so there’s nothing to refund.
Sponsorships through GitHub Sponsors and Buy Me a Coffee are voluntary gifts, not purchases. You can stop them any time on that platform, and refunds follow that platform’s own policy. If you sent one by mistake, write to chief@dimwit.me and I’ll help you sort it out.
Your rights
Nothing here takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. If you’re unhappy with how a request was handled, write to the grievance officer, Deepansh Khurana, at chief@dimwit.me. Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days.
